Enterprise Architect - Symphony - Ministry Intelligence Center

Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) and the Ministry Intelligence Center (MIC) is seeking an Enterprise Architect to participate in the development efforts for the MIC program.  This programs covers the development of an enterprise portal, collaboration toolsets, a data warehouse, and business intelligent dashboards.

This Enterprise Architect's duties will include the following: 

• Leads the planning for the future of the MIC data model and data architecture.
• Leads the continual redesign of the MIC data model and transition to a common model
• Provides intelligence on advancements in database technologies and business intelligence approaches
• Research and propose adoption of the technologies that will support the success of Ascension Health.
• Manage a team of developers building the BI dashboards, data marts, and data warehouse.
• Creating technical requirement documents from business requirements,
• Project management of some initiatives

• Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)
• 10+ years of experience developing data warehouses and/or business intelligence platforms required.
• Experience with relational database design and development (SQL Server 2005/Oracle) required
• Knowledge of Oracle data warehousing or business intelligence toolset is a plus
• Able to effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less-experienced staff
• Self starter with excellent customer service skills, ability to problem solve, and self directed. 
• Willingness to reside within a commutable distance of Birmingham, AL.
• Willingness to fulfill frequent overnight travel during the current Symphony project with occasional travel thereafter.
