Description PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES, FUNCTIONS:
  • To develop partnerships across all HR functions in order to deliver value added service to management and employees reflecting the business objectives of the organization

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Essential Functions:

  • Perform general HR duties across functional areas, e.g. benefits, recruitment, compensation, employee development, with a primary focus on recruitment and benefits
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans based on the needs of the management team
  • Train hiring managers in interviewing skills
  • Partner with the hiring managers to achieve overall staffing goals
  • Routinely attend recruiting fairs, conferences and events in search of qualified candidates
  • Use effective screening procedures to identify the top candidates for each position
  • Prepare weekly status updates for the hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans
  • Collect and analyze employment data for recommendations to the management team
  • Assist in implementation and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Process reports and maintain records as needed
  • Assist with and manage part of the onboarding process
  • Manage and administer employee benefits

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in employee relations as necessary
  • Ensure job descriptions are maintained and accurate

    AUTHORITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws across all HR functions
  • Make recommendations on employment decisions
  • Identify errors and develop solutions to correct them
  • Identify potential hazards either safety or ergonomic

    EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Required to sign a confidentiality and a non-compete agreement

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SPHR or PHR certification preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within HR
  • Possess effective organizational skills, project management skills and customer relations skills
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers as well as management and external sources

    ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Responsible for compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Responsible for compliance to company Quality Policy Manual
  • Responsible for compliance with company safety policies
  • Responsible for knowing and adhering to policies and procedures in the company Employee Handbook
  • Responsible for compliance of Corporate Code of Conduct
  • Responsible for initiating and completing investigations in a timely manner


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Works under general office environmental conditions
  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Be able to push/pull/lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
