The goal of our Consulting practice is to establish HPand EDS as the world's leading information technology company; to be the best at helping customers manage and transform their IT environments to optimize business outcomes; and to be the provider of choice for IT infrastructure solutions that support the mission of our clients in the Veteran's Health Administration. Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) aids providers within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), enhancing their ability to consistently deliver industry leading healthcare to our nation's veterans. The application was released in 1997 and continually evolves to stay ahead of the ever-changing medical care environment. CPRS is fully integrated into VHA's care delivery environment as evidenced by the 760,000 daily documents (progress notes, discharge summaries, reports), 800,000 daily vital sign measurements, and more than 1,000,000 orders entered daily into the system. CPRS is used VHA-wide and its scale is unparalleled. Further, its integration with other core components like Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Imaging and Bi- directional Health Information Exchange (BHIE) necessitates a staff that is well versed in the entire suite of clinical and business applications supporting VHA medical care delivery This position is for either a functional analyst, M or Java developer, or a System Administrator that will assist in and support the CPRS development team in developing and releasing enhancements and other upgrades to both the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and legacy M database using an incremental development cycle of approximately 6 months.
