Description Summary Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Main Objective:
The physicians will be responsible for providing or coordinating all aspects of the patient's care including preventive, urgent, and routine care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide and assure that patients receive appropriate exams, and care, as well as other medical care that is appropriate in the ambulatory care setting for an adult population.
2. Assure that referrals are made in a timely manner to out-of-center specialists or other providers when medically necessary.
3. Assure the documentation as represented in the medical records meets established standards of documentation.
4. Assume a medical leadership role in medical emergencies in the center including the initiation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stabilization and transfer to an appropriate community provider as necessary.
5. Assist the office and clinical management in responding to patient concerns about medical care issues, including investigating patient complaints and completing incident reports.
6. Assure that patient rights to privacy and confidentiality are strictly maintained.
7. Collaborates with Nurse Practitioner and other staff as necessary.
8. Support and encourage all corporate health initiatives and wellness programs.
9. Prescribe and dispense medications as indicated by the diagnosis and medical condition.
Requirements Education and Experience:
1. Graduate of an accredited medical school; at least two to three years of post-residency clinical experience in an ambulatory care, or emergency room setting; at least three years experience managing an ambulatory care, emergency med, or urgent care clinic.
2. Licensed to practice medicine in the Florida; must be Board Certified in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine or Board Eligible in aforementioned practice areas. If Board Eligible, must take certification exam within twelve months of date of hire. Must be eligible to work in the US.
3. Must have current state and federal DEA certification. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required. Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification is a plus.
4. Current CPR Certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff which includes: effective communication, getting along with coworkers and management and dealing efficiently and professionally under pressure

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PCs, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook, plus any additional communications equipment as needed.
