Description This position is responsible for providing educational support of the Clinical Information Systems, specifically the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to all PGU providers and staff and the Regional Project Managers for IASIS facilities in their assigned region. This position also assist the Regional Project Manager in the implementation, education, upgrades and post implementation support for clinical applications. This position will be responsible for meeting with clinical managers, management teams and users to optimize the use of current applications monitor the level of application usage, design and implement educational needs, and route escalated service call needs. It will also be important for this position to develop excellent provider relationship skills as well as good working relationships with divisional and departmental directors. Travel to other Iasis regions as requested to share solutions and assist with projects will also be a requirement.

Develops and maintains education plans for I/S applications used by patient care providers

Maintains procedure manuals as necessary

Ensures that sufficient knowledge of application systems is available in all facilities through training, creation of manuals, and hands on experience

Coordinates with I/S and management teams to develop strategic information systems plan to meet business needs

Promotes and encourages positive relations with internal and external customers

Communicates the purpose of information systems and its role in the daily operations of the clinics

Studies software and hardware documentation

Enforces security policies and procedures

Assures confidentiality of all clinic data systems information

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus three or more years experience with medical systems, and medical systems training or equivalent experience and education.

Experience with EMR conversion and rollout, required.
