The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: directly supervises Endocrine testing performance in support of the Maternal Serum screening program for abnormalities.  Interprets and assesses the clinical significance of the Maternal Serum screening program in conjunction with the Department of Ob/Gyn, Reproductive Genetics and Clinical Care Associates.  Maintains close cooperation and information exchange, which is necessary between Endocrinology Laboratory and Genetics in order to provide a useful and beneficial service.  Monitors and adjusts Median MOM and positive rates for the Maternal Serum screening program.  Provides monthly reports on these rates for distribution to the Chairman of the Department of Ob/Gyn and the Director of the Endocrinology Laboratory. 

Requirements Must have B.S. MT(ASCP) or a B.S. in Life Science and two years overall general experience and training in a clinical laboratory.  Must have specialized training in maternal-fetal screening and monitoring.
