Our client in Huntington, WV has a Maintenance Supervisor position available. They offer a very competitive compensation package (60k Base up to 10% bonus and premium pay) and a work environment with opportunity for growth. Come and work for the industry leader.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Plan, organize, manage, and schedule all facilities and personnel in the Huntington Plant on the Supervisor's assigned shift with emphasis on maintenance and proper operation of equipment.

  • Associates degree in electrical systems or equivalent experience; 5 plus years of experience
  • Must have working knowledge of PLC’s, Frequency Drives, and control systems
  • The ability to plan jobs (i.e. size circuits, conduit, wire, and ability to implement plan to install)
  • Trouble shooting skills on process machines (id grinders, od grinder, machine tools)
  • Be able to multi-task and have solid time management skills
  • Microsoft project and excel skills a plus
  • Crane maintenance experience helpful
  • Furnace experience helpful but not necessary
  • Numerical control experience helpful
  • Excellent leadership, influencing skills, as well as strong oral and written communications skills

JOB ENVIRONMENT:

The Supervisor is responsible for organization, planning, supervising, and scheduling all facilities on his assigned shift as well as the motivation and control of all employees therein. Incumbent must make optimum use of material, machinery, and manpower in an environment which has many variables and changes that are sometimes difficult to anticipate. Internal contacts are frequent and critical.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Required Skills

Degree in related field preferred.  Solid Maintenance experience required. Specific course work that is highly desirable – Maintenance Planning, Reliability Centered Maintenance.

 Please note that this job may consist of off-shifts including 3rd and weekends

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage plant maintenance functions as required to assure proper operation of equipment
  • Train operators and other shift foremen in the proper use of equipment controls to reduce downtime,

prevent machine damage, reduce maintenance costs, and produce quality products.

  • Schedule production through all stages of manufacturing to meet delivery and quality requirements of all customers.
  • Schedule manpower requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the workforce in order to assure accuracy and reliability

of the product produced in the most efficient manner.

  • Plan details of working requirements to determine and maintain required production tooling

and other production related inventory items.

  • Select logical approach to trouble shooting plant technical and administrative problems.

Perform other administrative duties as required.

  • Help build a strong quality culture throughout the organization that will result in individual and group

pride in doing the job right the first time and a quality system based on modern methods of statistical

quality control.

  • Manage the facilities to provide a safe, clean environment that meets internal and external standards

for health, safety, and effective personnel and labor relations
