Software Vendor Management Analyst Lead
1  year Contract
W2 Pay Rate $51-$58/Hour

Software Vendor Management:
Proactively, effectively and timely develops strategic plans for negotiating software maintenance renewals, initial software purchases and expiring agreements for assigned vendors. These strategic plans ensure client gets the best terms in alignment with current and future internal needs, as well as moving each vendor towards ideal terms for client.

Strategy development includes providing internal clients with consulting direction and garnering stakeholder support as well as fully understanding the “business drivers" and “technical drivers" so that those can be incorporated into negotiations/strategies. This includes being able to think “on the fly" and adjust as different input is provided.

Also provides support to internal clients whenever vendor issues arise and ensures that they are resolved to the client's satisfaction.

Coordination of Vendor Transaction Reviews:
Acts as an internal VMO project manager for vendor transactions, ensuring that appropriate reviews are completed efficiently and within established time lines to meet the internal clients' needs. Reviewers are effectively oriented to the transaction and current status so that their time is spent wisely.


Effective Communication:

Communicates effectively at all levels from executive and leadership presentations to negotiating internally (with technical and non-technical resources) and externally. Understands when to provide detail and how much, and adapts as needed. Is confident, clear and helpful, knowing there is much to be learned from every interaction.

 

Leadership:
Views all aspects and perspectives of a problem and develops the best approach. Makes smart business decisions and presents clear, concise recommendations based on solid, accurate data and analysis. Provides recommendations and solutions to mitigate issues, and successfully leads the applicable team in achieving the best solution. Contributes to new and more efficient ways of accomplishing Software Vendor Management.

This role is an individual contributor role.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Software Vendor Management including new software purchases, software maintenance renewals and management of vendor issues.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in a large company and in an IT organization, understanding of business drivers
  • Self awareness of skills and awareness of organizational impacts of actions
  • Organized and structured
