Energy Engineer

The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting energy conservation programs and energy efficiency projects.  The ideal candidate responsibilities will be focused on ASHRAE Level I, II and III energy audits and national account roll out of energy conservation programs and analytics.  encourages our employee's professional growth and education through both internal and external training programs, team learning sessions and financial support to employees seeking their EIT and/or PE designations.

Essential Duties/Primary Responsibilities

 

Candidate will be responsible for various project development activities, from lead development, initial site visit, preliminary opportunity assessment, detailed engineering and savings calculations, audit report development, project execution and implementation oversight.  Responsibilities will include:

  •      Site energy audits and data collection on new and existing client sites
  •      Benchmarking of current site energy and operating costs
  •      Monitoring energy usage from billing, EMS and sub-metering data systems
  •      Analysis of opportunities for technical and operational improvements
  •      Development of energy conservation strategies at a site/corporate level
  •      Quantification of energy savings for specific opportunities
  •      Quantification of operation and maintenance savings components
  •      Preparation of business objectives for client proposals and client presentations
  •      Manage external relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, etc
  •      Overseeing the implementation of energy reduction capital projects


Job Requirements


Education

BS Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical – preferred)

 

Qualifications

  •   Motivated and dynamic person
  •   Ability to work independently and in a team and travel as required
  •   Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  •   Commercially-oriented energy solution sales
  •   Experience working across various business sectors
  •   PE, CEM and/or LEED AP a plus
  •   Experience with E-Quest or other energy/engineering software a plus

Experience with these types of systems:

Utility distribution systems including steam, hot and cold water, compressed air, chilled water, electricity

Experience with E-Quest or other energy/engineering software a
