Analytical Chemist

Job Description

The Analytical Chemist performs accurate routine chemical testing as well as chromatographic methods of analysis (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis) to meet departmental objectives.
  • HPLC analyses of routine assay and related substance testing of APIs in film strip products.

  • Dissolution testing for research and development.

  • HPLC Method Development (Waters Alliance systems).

  • Method Validation - dissolution, HPLC, and GC-FID/Headspace.

  • Working in a cGMP environment.

  • Handling Schedule III controlled substances / DEA clearance

  • Stability testing.

  • Audits chemistry SOP’s and updates and writes new procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintains accurate records of all work performed with respect to a given project. Ensure documentation meets facility audit as well as cGMP or GLP requirements.
  • Analytical and technical support of manufacturing operations.  
  • Validation and quality checks on batches. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Coordination within other departments to accomplish company goals.  
  • Raw material testing using analytical instruments. 
  • Update/Revise SOP's.








Job Requirements

  • BS in Chemistry or related science.
  • Experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, titrators, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Previous experience working in a GMP environment.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
