Job Description

Graceworks Enhanced Living, affiliated with Graceworks Lutheran Services, provides safe, caring environments for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are looking for kind and dedicated individuals to serve as Direct Care Assistants in our group homes. Both full- and part-time positions are available and prior experience is not necessary – we offer comprehensive training to ensure you are prepared for your new role. Job Summary

 As a Direct Caregiver you will provide a wide range of care giving services, which include bathing and changing residents, feeding them and cleaning up after them and assisting them with the activities of daily living. In addition, you will assist the rest of the care staff in maintaining the home itself and ensuring that it remains clean and stocked.

Job Requirements

As a Direct Care Assistant, you must be a patient, understanding and kind person with a quiet and gentle personality. Flexibility is a vital part of your role and it is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication, have a high school diploma (or GED), valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and TB test.
