JUNIOR PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN 

A very successful and reputable company within the Aurora area is seeking a Junior Production Technician to assist in keeping the production equipment operating throughout the day. This entails providing short term and long term repair and maintenance on the equipment under general supervision and within bounds of direction and training. If you have excellent mechanical aptitude and 2-3 years of experience in a production or automated environment, please call to set up an appointment. This is a great temp to hire opportunity. Pay is based on experience. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Responsible for automated systems on a per program basis with supervision from 2nd shift Supervisor and/or Production Engineer. 
2. Enhance equipment performance by recommending modifications, making adjustments and recommending improvements to same. 
3. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques. 
4. Maintains a clean and safe working environment by complying with company, state and federal rules and regulations. 
5. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed , working well with others and sharing knowledge of equipment and processes with fellow employees.

Job Requirements

JUNIOR PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Educational Requirements and Years of Experience: 
1. Excellent Mechanical Aptitude with understanding of programming flow. 
2. 2-3 years experience in a production/automated environment. 
3. An understanding of electrical systems and how to debug them. 
4. Familiar with  Robots, Visions, Sonic Welding, Resistance Welding and Dispensing Systems a plus. 
5. Basic understanding of quality systems such as ISO and TS16949. 
6. Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check. 


Administrative, Technological and Behavioral Skills: 
1. Computer Literate- Understanding of the operation of a Personal Computer and peripheral equipment. Experience with Microsoft Office Software(Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) or equivalent. 
2. Planning and Organizations Skills- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision. Good attention to details. Ability to multi-task by handling several projects at the same time.  Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
3. Good communication sills- Able to verbally communicate ideas clearly and concisely. Must be able to adjust communication to the applicable audience.
4. Good customer services sills- Sense of urgency: ability to react appropriately to customer/team- members demands. Ability to listen/understand customer/team-members requirements and communicate these to relevant parties timely. Follow-up with issues brought-up internally/externally that could affect a customer with expediency. 
5. Can do attitude-Pleasant demeanor when interacting with individuals outside/inside the company, even on heated situations. 
6. Confidentiality- Ability to handle customer/company sensitive (proprietary) information with discretion. 
7. Sound decision-making skills - Ability to track down machine problems and decide the best route to take, including if repair is outside level of competency. 
8. Ability to handle moderate to high stress due to the pressure of deadlines, fast paced environment. 
9. Ability to lift/push up to 50lbs, occasionally. Must be able to work standing-up for 8 hours at a time. 
10. Ability to work overtime as required. 
11. Must wear personal protective equipment in required areas.
