Commercial Lines Sales Leader Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic thought leader. Be a resource to current clients as a risk management consultant.  On the marketing side serve as a regional point of contact. Negotiate deals; create programs. Work directly with the commercial producers on high level, complex risk management accounts.  Take the approach that deals get done through your involvement and control in specific accounts. 
  • Create a cross selling platform with the corporate benefits team.  Mirror the objectives that have worked in other offices.  Change the philosophy within the team that may have led to previous segmentation.  Be an example by selling within the model.  Develop trust with the benefits producers by generating leads that benefit them too.
  • Sales: Create a sales duo with the executive director where you're his counterpart on large, sophisticated account sales.  Prospect and close business together.  
  • Sales Management: Develop property and casualty sales talent. Recruit, train and mentor producers. Help identify acquisition opportunities.  Provide necessary training and coordination with marketing and account management specialists in each office in your operating footprint.  

Job Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years of progressive property and casualty brokerage and/or agency experience with increased responsibilities in sales, marketing and business leadership.  
  • Strengths in strategic creation and implementation of sales platforms including cross selling programs.  Excellent communication skills with the help move and shape sales and marketing teams at the executive and staff levels.
  • Comfortable with individual sales and production goals as well as direct client consulting.

The Commercial Lines Sales Leader for this insurance brokerage is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Arizona office's commercial lines division.  You'll be responsible for achieving growth by building up a sales force, enhancing marketing and program opportunities, creating a cross selling platform with the corporate benefits division and producing personally.  This is a newly created role with the ability to make your mark on a successful company looking for strong practice leadership in its commercial lines discipline.
