Mobility Computing Product Manager

The Mobility Computing Product Manager role is a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients in Cary, NC. Target salary range is $85,000 - $110,000 with one of the best benefits packages in town. Relocation assistance is available as is sponsorship for people with at least 28 months remaining on their current visa.

As the Product Manager, you are responsible for agreeing, setting and publishing the strategic roadmap for these products, in conjunction with the enterprise and application architecture teams and security teams including incorporating direct end user feedback and enhancement requests.  The person in this role must create, maintain and coordinate the required artifacts as needed during the product lifecycles. This includes end user documentation, product flyers, website knowledge articles and maintaining the engineering teams book of work.

You must have in-depth knowledge of the mobile products space including VPN, iOS, Android, BlackBerry, RSA and other mobile technology companies and how they can be structured together to create a well executed mobile strategy solution for the banks employees, vendors and customers.

Tasks of the Mobility Computing Product Manager:
  • Agreeing engineering requirements to achieve the Mobility Engineering strategy, in conjunction with architecture, application development and production management colleagues
  • Delivering Mobility projects, on time and within budget, across engineering sub-teams.
  • Tracking, updating and maintaining book of work items for the engineering team
  • Ensuring engineering team and associated deliverables’ adherence to bank security, regulatory, quality standards

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Mobility Computing Product Manager:
Technical skills
  • MS Office with a specific focus on presentation skills, project management tools and communications software
  • MobileIron technology stack including Sentry, Docs@work, AppConnect, AppTunnel, etc.
  • Enabling technology application and infrastructure products including Good Technology, HOBLink, MDM, ActiveSync
  • Apple iOS and Google Android device security and management and integration into enterprise-scale security, administration and technology processes
  • Citrix-based remote desktop session and virtualized application delivery to personal and mobile computing devices.
  • RSA/SecurID remote user authentication
  • Juniper VPN for remote user connectivity
  • Underlying protocols and standards including Java, HTML 5, RDP, VPN management and security,
  • Security concepts and protocols including certificates/PKI, 2FA, RADIUS and firewalls
  • Networking concepts and protocols including IP, routing, networking protocols such as TLS, SMTP, ActiveSync, RDP and ICA.
  • Cloud and enterprise document storage integration and synchronization
  • Self-service provisioning and workflow automation support for mobility solutions
 
Technical skills - beneficial:
  • Experience with the specification and/or implementation of “Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) policies
  • App delivery technologies (3rd-party and internally developed, bank client apps) and file-sharing/document management solutions, across mobile OSs and devices.
  • Web security technologies and related application development
 
General skills:
  • Building on a very strong technical knowledge and experience base in the above areas candidates must be highly articulate and persuasive communicators, with strong collaboration and teamwork skills and a proven ability to manage the delivery of innovative solutions to a large, geographically diverse global enterprise.
 
Education & qualifications:
  • Educated to Bachelors or Masters degree level in Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years experience in an equivalent senior/lead role in a global, enterprise-scale environment preferably in the Financial Services industry.
