Job Description
  • The ideal candidate needs to have knowledge of CNC Mills and Lathes and understand machine electrical function, I/O and some knowledge of Ladder logic.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and skills are a must, and the candidate must be able to work with 240/480 volt three phase and have some familiarity with Fanuc and Okuma controls.
  • The candidate must have good trouble shooting skills and be able to work independently.
  • The candidate will be an integral part of the team that ensure that the Preventative Maintenance program is timely, prioritized and cost effectively done.
  • Important tasks needed to be performed :
  • Cleaning and replacing of complex assemblies and components of CNC machinery.

Job Requirements

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of packing, bearings, and mechanical seals; Advanced knowledge of in reading schematic drawings and PID's
  • Correct use and care of power and hand tools and their safe operation; knowledge of carpentry techniques to build supports for the repair and overhaul of machinery
  • The candidate must be available for overtime work as needed and will have to demonstrate a track record of reliability in previous positions.

Personal tools are required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs preventative maintenance and monitors facility on an on-going basis
  • Responds to grounds/facility related work orders
  • Performs electrical, carpentry and plumbing related repairs to interior/exterior building/facilities
  • Performs grounds maintenance functions
  • Assist Maintenance Mechanics, groundskeepers and custodial staff as required

Necessary Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Facility maintenance experience
  • Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical and carpentry
  • Knowledgeable and/or experienced with preventative maintenance and safety procedures/programs
