Rehab Director

Job Description

St. John's is looking for a dedicated and strategic partner in our new Rehab Director. The Director overseeing all of our rehabilitation services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy) is a full time, 40 hrs/wk, exempt position.
 
The Therapy Director directs and leads the functions of the rehabilitation program. Maintains a high standard of clinical care and customer service. Creates and maintains expectations for the rehab department as role models and support for interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers to ensure a team approach to wellness and highest functional ability. Establish and sustain a rehabilitative environment that recognizes each elder’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs beyond traditional nursing rehab procedures and protocols, especially committing to elders who live in long term care and may be living with dementia. The rehab director will create and sustain therapy (PT/OT/SLP) standards of practice and will oversee quality assurance for the practice of therapy in the organization. This director will spearhead development of an offsite outpatient program at our independent living campus.  

Job Requirements

Current NYS PT or OT license required. 3 years of Management & Leadership experience required. Proven success with RUG and Case Mix. Ability to demonstrate Leadership through change. Excellent interpersonal, fiscal and clinical skills. High level of initiative and ability to manage competing priorities. Functional understanding of regulatory guidelines.
