Job Description

Essential Job Functions
1. Partner with the Finance Manager, on financial issues including pricing & gross margins, cost analysis, capital expenditures, budgeting & forecasting, and growth opportunities. Analyze and evaluate highly complex financial data; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance, financial trends and/or to project a financial probability; perform and consult on analysis/evaluation.
2. Manages hardware project reporting and forecasting. Partners with platform management and general accounting group to properly recognize revenue and reconcile accounts.
3. Tracks and analyzes performance against the financial plan. Works to identify root cause for shortfalls vs. plan and prior year as required. Identifies, recommends and implements corrective action plans as required.
4. Leads data collection and reporting for sales territories. Leads and consolidates quarterly commission calculations and tracking.
5. Leads data collection and consolidation required to understand sales and margin analysis, structural cost analysis, customer and product profitability, pricing, market dynamics and working capital optimization.
6. Develops the tools to support analyzing the results and performance of the designated vertical markets, product lines or categories, key customer accounts and/or business units.
7. Becomes an ERP, BI and HFM super-user with the ability to readily extract data and write reports.
8. Develops/refines monthly internal review decks and reporting used for presentation to Senior Management.
9. Reconciles BI financial reporting to P&L reporting and insure management understanding of reconciling items.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


• Four (4) year degree in business, accounting or finance essential. CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting & Finance experience
• Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Complex financial analysis and quantitative skills
• Ability to influence across a decentralized finance and manufacturing team
• Strong business acumen, e.g. ability to interpret, evaluate and apply financial data/information to business decisions
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team as well as independently depending on the assignment
• Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of ERP applications and database management. JDE, HFM/Essbase experience a plus
• Willingness to travel 

This is a position lasting at least two to three months with a possibility of going permanent, but not guaranteed. If you meet most of the criteria above (client is very flexible on requirements for the right candidate). Pay is based on experience and would like to stay around $75k max.
