RN, Staff Development Coordinator

Charlottesville Health & Rehab Center is seeking an RN Staff Development Coordinator. The RN Staff Development Coordinator manages and provides required education to the entire staff, and is also responsible for employee health. Education to be offered includes the state required 12 hours of CNA training (patient's rights, transfers, infection control, etc.) as well as topics that may be of interest to the staff. Employee health encompasses administration and management of Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks. Competitive candidates should have expert knowledge of basic nursing skills (patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, medication administration, etc.) and a desire to pass that knowledge on to others.

Licensure
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Experience and/or Pre-requisites
• Recent experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in a healthcare setting.
• Recent clinical experience in providing direct nursing care for extended care and/or transitional clinically skilled/rehabilitation patients.
• Recent clinical experience in acute care setting.
