Medical Sales Manager: Lab Equipment
Must have medical Equipment Sales Management
At least 5 years of applicable experience including 5 years at a management level.
Manages sales and marketing efforts; including supervision of the sales force and the development of sales strategies and tactics.
Monitors the competitive landscape to understand opportunities and threats in the marketplace; advocates and implements changes to improve the company’s competitive position. Establishes systems to identify, prioritize, evaluate, plan and implement product changes to meet customer needs.
Manages six employee sales, including hiring, training, developing and managing performance. Constantly evaluates the activities and performance of employees to ensure that projects are managed within budget and meet customer scheduling and other requirements.
Formulates and articulates a long term vision for the staffing and performance of the department staff to ensure attainment of sales goals, order entry accuracy, forecasting accuracy, with high levels of customer satisfaction. Drives position upgrades where applicable. Reduces duplication at every opportunity.
Motivates staff and provides technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management when needed. Establishes the position as a leader, manager, mentor and support resource.
Participates in Product Review Board meetings, and continually reviews all products to identify and propose changes that will reduce costs, increase quality or improve product marketability.
Develops and maintains departmental procedures in compliance with ISO 9000 requirements.
Develops and administers budgets for scientific and non-food segment sales. Prepares and updates revenue projections. Manages revenues and costs to stay within budget and achieve profitability, cash flow and other financial objectives.
Prepares verbal and written analyses, reports, recommendations and presentations regarding areas of responsibility as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis tools used in business management.
Considerable knowledge of sales and marketing principles and methods.
Knowledge of agency standards which apply to refrigeration products.
Skill in planning and implementing complex projects.
Skill in interpersonal relationships as needed to maintain successful relationships with customers and coworkers at all levels.
Ability to stay current on advances in refrigeration engineering and potential product applications.
Ability to resolve complex problems creatively and drive innovation in the organization.
Ability to reach sound judgments in ambiguous or novel situations where few guides and precedents are available.
