Equipment Engineer - Vessels/ Heat Exchangers


Qualifications: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years 
experience in design (vessels and/or shell in tube heat exchangers), 
specification and/or manufacturing of static equipment. Must have extensive knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1 and 2 and API 660 and TEMA R standards. Familiarity with code calculations, post weld heat treatment, welding and general constructability issues.


 Good working knowledge and use of Compress (ASME Vessel design software), 
Adobe Acrobat Standard, Microsoft Office (Word, EXCEL, Power Point). Disciplined approach to maintaining project files for team use and documentation of correspondence and issue resolution. Ability
to work well in a team environment and provide proper updating of 
Project managers, Project Engineers, and Procurement of status of 
requisitions and document reviews. Ability to travel 15% globally.Responsibilities: Provide technical support for proposal/ sales, evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process. Incorporating
applicable code and customer requirements in order to produce a 
complete technical definition of the equipment. Assume the primary 
liaison role with outside suppliers. Review supplier designs against licensor requirements, code requirements, and customer requirements. Coordinate with suppliers throughout the fabrication phase of the project. Generate requisitions for static equipment such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Visit shops for kickoff meetings, critical inspections, and provide feedback to improve future designs.
