  • Business-to-business (B2B) sales of exterior building products to professional contractors and licensed remodelers

  • College degree strongly desired but successful, relevant outside sales experience in our industry or a related industry could "trump" the degree requirement.

  • Salary is negotiable based on experience

    Your Typical Day

    • Responsible for all facets of operation in our  branch as well as serving as our lead outside salesperson in the Huntsville market

    • You manage through your branch operations manager, your "number two," who is responsible for the branch in your absence

    • Leaving your branch operations manager in charge, you spend approximately 80% of your time calling on contractors and remodelers on their "turf"

    • Initially, we expect you average 8 to 12 calls a day, dividing your time before established customers and new prospects

    • On most days, you finish your day in the branch, handling management or customer service issues and preparing for the next day


  • Starting base is negotiable, based on experience; generally between $45K-$55K

  • Upon completion of training, you are assigned a new or late model company vehicle, usually a Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar vehicle

  • Company pays all expenses, including fuel,insurance and upkeep.

  • Almost no restrictions on off-duty driving.

  • Compensation is a combination of your base salary and any commission that you may earn.

Job Requirements

  • Must have . . . prior outside sales experience in the building products industry

  • Must have . . . called upon contractors on their "turf"

  • Must have . . . a history of strong ethics and high integrity, reflected in extensive motor vehicle, credit and personal history background checks

  • Should be . . . aggressive in setting -- and meeting -- goals

  • Should have . . . a demonstrated interest in sales, based on previous jobs or on academic preparation

  • Should have . . . strong communication and social skills

  • Should have . . . ability to work independently

  • Should be . . . skilled in meeting and working with new people

  • Would prefer . . . college degree (but not absolutely required)
