Environmental Compliance Project Manager


 

We are hiring an eCAP® Manager to perform EH&S related activities for multiple accounts.  These activities include managing a module based system to ensure an economical, timely, and technically sound product. Technical service areas include general environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance work such as compliance audits, Tier II and Form R reporting, SPCC plans, storm water, air emission reports, wastewater discharge permits, hazardous waste reports, health and safety, regulatory interpretation, interaction with the regulatory agencies, and training.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Manage all aspects for assigned projects including budgets, estimating, scheduling, field activities, data acquisition and interpretation, client interaction, preparing reports and invoicing.

  • Participate in monthly client meetings, department meetings, and required technical training.

  • Perform and train field personnel in the technical and administrative activities required to successfully complete projects including: compliance audits/inspections; identify environmental and health & safety concerns; formulate recommendations for compliance; remediate deficiencies; file review and record searches; implement environmental and health & safety recordkeeping and reporting requirements; regular onsite inspections; and documentation.

  • Prepare proposals, budgets, and scopes of work for projects.

  • Identify changes to the scope of work, discuss with senior level managers and onsite client, and execute change orders (if necessary).

  • Write reports for senior review including relevant environmental and health & safety observations, and conclusions/recommendations.

  • Act as a liaison between the client and federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to clarify relevant standards and policies and communicate how they impact the client and/or project.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:      
Knowledge of:

  • Storm water, wastewater and air permitting regulations.

  • SPCC regulations.

  • Compliance audits.

  • Waste regulations.

  • Understanding of OSHA regulations.

  • Hazards inherent to the environmental work and related safety measures.


 

Job Requirements

  • Requires 3-5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety consulting or industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of environmental permit regulations and strong computer and verbal/written communication skills are a must.
  • Health & Safety experience and knowledge of state regulations is a plus.
