Junior Executive Assistant

Job Description

A boutique investment firm located in downtown Chicago seeks an Junior Executive Assistant to help support the Chairman/CEO. The Junior Executive Assistant will be responsible for maintaining calendar, email, and scheduling for the Chairman/CEO as well as any back up responsibilities to the lead Executive Assistant. The Junior Executive Assistant will also provide assistance on special projects as needed in the office. The ideal candidate would be professional and able to work well under pressure.


Responsibilities of Junior Executive Assistant:

  • Maintain calendar, email, and scheduling for the Chairman/CEO and backup lead Executive Assistant
  • Assist with travel arrangements and concierge services, both domestic and international
  • Field incoming phone calls and daily dissemination of mail
  • Provide assistance on special projects including letter writing/correspondence, speech writing/proofreading/editing
  • Act as a liaison with clients and Board members
  • Various administrative duties necessary to support high-level CEO

Job Requirements

Requirements for Junior Executive Assistant:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be poised and professional with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform complex assignments with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
