-Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and writing skills for defining the goals and direction of the department, and interacting with clients.
-Manage, development, and provide technical direction of a group of mechanical engineers.
-Use advanced techniques, theory precepts and practices in mechanical engineering field and related sciences and disciplines.
-Develop client proposals for Mechanical Engineering services, including scope, fees, clarifications, and assumptions.
-Participate In developing order of magnitude cost estimates and developing value engineering options for mechanic systems.
-Maintain production standards and ensure department quality control.
-Be able to formulate, develop, and communicate, advanced mechanical engineer concepts to the team and clients.
-Perform Executive Level Design reviews as well as Quality Assurance reviews.
-Experience implementing engineered designs utilizing MEP Revit for the production of contract documents.
-Experience with building systems design for HVAC and Plumbing.
-Candidate may serve as project manager for projects where mechanic engineering is the Primary discipline.
The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:
B.S. in Structural Engineering, masters preferred.
5 years experience in consulting engineering industry.
Must have a valid PE license in the state of California (Mechanical) or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
LEED Accreditation (AP or AP BD+C.)
Excellent communications skills.
