Facilities Supervisor

Job Description

A prestigious law firm located in downtown Chicago is searching for a Facilities Supervisor to join their team! The Facilities Supervisor will assist in overseeing all aspects of facilities including maintenance of firm’s office space and equipment including housekeeping and repair and maintenance.  Ideal candidate must be service-oriented, accurate and efficient with excellent time-management skills.


Responsibilities of the Facilities Supervisor:

  • Manage phone and voice mail systems which includes programming and troubleshooting
  • Update and maintain security and cost recovery systems
  • Processing of facilities-related invoices
  • Month end reporting of facilities chargeback revenue
  • Process new hires and terminations including new hire orientation
  • Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair and operation of facilities including acting as a liaison with building management, engineering, security, and housekeeping
  • Coordinating of special facilities projects including procurement of furniture
  • Purchasing of facilities related supplies
  • Coordinating office moves if necessary
  • Supervises reception and hospitality departments

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Facilities Supervisor:

  • Bachelor’s degree with prior experience in Office Management or Facilities preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (preferably in professional services)
  • Solid project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of basic accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High organizational skills
