Inventory Accountant

Job Description

Global manufacturer is looking for an Inventory Accountant.

The Inventory Accountant is primarily responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the inventory system, and ensuring proper inventory valuation in compliance with GAAP. Other responsibilities/activities include monthly margin analysis/correction by branch, product category, segment, etc. Understand, monitor and report on manufacturing costing; provide value by improving upon current processes and recommending improvements in efficiency. Also responsible for general accounting duties in defined areas.

The accountant will be responsible for the management, analysis and review of a number of general ledger accounts.The accountant will be subject matter expert for transactions, process flows and analytical explanations of each account assigned. This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type role that requires deep understanding of the overall business.


Job Requirements

    5 years related experience in manufacturing or retail

                BA/BS degree in Accounting


    Experience with Inventory and/or Manufacturing accounting


                Manufacturing environment experience

                Strong analytical abilities, problem solving and planning

                skills and attention to detail are key for this role
