The University of Michigan has available position of Assistant Professor (Clinical Track) in Ann Arbor, MI. Position requires 1) Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine; 2) Completion of fellowship in transfusion medicine; 3) Work exp or fellowship in which individual provided apheresis support for solid organ transplantation; 4) Board cert in Clinical Pathology by American Board of Pathology; 5) Board cert in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine by American Board of Pathology; 6) Possess valid MI Physician license & valid MI Controlled Substance license; & 7) Two peer-reviewed journal publications in transfusion medicine. Duties: Oversee apheresis service; Develop & oversee apheresis program to support renal transplantation program; Provide medical direction for Blood Bank; Teach medical students in blood banking/transfusion medicine; Develop active research program focused on antibody medicated rejection of solid organ transplants. Publish research results.
