Job Description

The Intern responsibilities include:  Adhering to BHG work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing the work environment and professional staff behavior.

Adhering to BHG policies governing the observation of confidentiality and the handling of confidential information.

Assuming personal and professional responsibilities for his or her actions and activities.

Maintaining professional relationships with BHG employee's and patients.

Utilizing a courteous, enthusiastic, open-minded, critical approach to policies and procedures within our profession.

Relating and applying knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the BHG setting/environment.

Developing a self-awareness in regards to attitudes, values behavior patterns that influence work.

Preparing for and utilizing meetings and other opportunities of learning afforded at BHG.

Being consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments to the supervisor.

Providing the supervisor with progress reports when requested. 

Job Requirements

Pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Work (or higher) in healthcare or healthcare related degree (sociology, phsycology) etc.

Demonstrated academic achievement.  Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Excellent oral, written and communication skills.

Respect for self, patients and community.

Commitment to succeed.
