Finance Project Coordinator

Job Description

PNC is looking for an experienced Finance Project Coordinator to support the implementation out of our new liquidity reporting requirements. This position, based in Pittsburgh PA,  will play an active role in the creation of liquidity reporting for PNC. In this capacity, you will participate as an active member of a dedicated project team to define, design, test and implement an industry leading liquidity reporting system. You will work across the lines of business and technology organization to acquire relevant information and build processes that result in a highly automated technology solution used to report liquidity to the regulators and executive management team. You will use your creative, problem solving skills to define an optimal reporting framework that provides real time information to end users with SOX level data quality and financial controls.   Your enthusiasm and initiative will be critical to the success of the project. As a Finance Project Coordinator, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., you will execute projects assigned, interact with business partners in Finance and the lines of business and perform complex financial, business, and data analyses as part of the Control Finance group.   You will be asked to evaluate and recommend alternative solutions with respect to projects assigned and related analyses.   You will work with the team to ensure the integrity of PNC data by examining, verifying, balancing and reconciling various types of data.  
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:  
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Normally requires 5 to 7 years accounting or finance experience. Mainframe systems experience may be required.   Prior supervisory experience may be preferred.
A CPA, CMA or MBA is desirable.

Preferred experience:
Up to 4 years of progressively responsible and relevant analysis experience
Data, business and financial analysis skills and experience is desirable
Experience with SQL or similar tools is desirable
Hands on experience with business intelligence tools like Hyperion, Cognos or Smartview
Strong finance and technical acumen with a passion to learn more
Effective oral and written communication skills are required
Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine projects and analysis
