Process Engineer 4

Job Description

Process Development Engineer: Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.  Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes in reactive ion etching, lithography, and thin film deposition.      Plans experiments for, and executes projects involving advanced patterning and/or reactive ion etching of dielectrics/conductors on semiconductor substrates.
This position requires demonstrated knowledge and hands-on work experience in advanced plasma etch processes used for fabrication of of leading edge semiconductor integrated circuits.   Knowledge in lithography and/or process integration would be a plus.  


Job Requirements

Typically requires MS degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or physics with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
