NURSE MANAGER - MATERNAL CHILD DEPT

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY ~ The Nurse Manager, under administrative direction and consistent with the hospital philosophy, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of nursing care. He/she provides managerial support to the Director by providing supervision and evaluation of all nursing personnel. He/she contributes to the nursing department and the hospital through support of nursing and program philosophy and objectives. Continuously assess work environment and processes to identify safety risks. Address safety issues identified or brought forward by staff, and resolve as appropriate.

This is a Full Time, Day Shift position.

Job Requirements

APPLICANTS NOT POSSESSING THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED: 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:  1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred. 2. Current CA RN License. 3. Two years recent nursing experience in an inpatient setting six months supervisory experience. 4. Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to work under stressful conditions; and possesses good verbal and written communication skills. 5. AHA BCLS certification required. 6. Active membership in Professional Nursing organization desirable. 7. Ability to read, write and understand English language.
