We are recruiting for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician opportunity at one of our growing clients in the Greater Rochester area. This would be a B shift or C shift position with Overtime and weekend work required at times. Maintenance technician will be a valuable part of the maintenance team supporting all company manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
Repair, diagnose, troubleshoot, and following predetermined maintenance schedules to maintain factory equipment and machines and facilities equipment. Strong skills and experience will include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plumbing, boiler systems, pumps, gears etc.
Technician will also install new equipment and set up to run efficiently.
To be considered, Maintenance Technician must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience with above mentioned skills, solid electrical and mechanical abilities and highly knowledgeable in troubleshooting PLC's.
On the electrical side, will be familiar with motors, switches, electrical parts and components and can learn the Instrumentation and troubleshooting VFD's, and PLC’s.
Our client is seeking someone with the aptitude and desire to learn PLC troubleshooting.
On the mechanical side will have familiarizing with all tools to include many saws, welders, meters, drills, many hand tools etc. to repair assembly, conveyor and material handling equipment. Ability to create or fabricate parts is ideal.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities, ability to work independently and be part of a team, put safety first, suggest improvements to equipment etc.
Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident, have a HS diploma/GED, solid work history and excellent references to be considered.
