This position coordinates environmental, safety, and health (ESH) affairs for the Lake Charles facility.
II. POSITIONS DEMANDS
This position requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a similar leadership role in an industrial setting and a Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). This position requires the ability to understand ESH regulations and to develop and manage site-specific policies and procedures to ensure governmental compliance and best practices. Responsible for coordinating site safety training and personnel development in the area of ESH. Must be able to sustain existing safety and environmental processes and programs over time with enthusiasm and energy. This position is a staff position and does not have line authority, and so must be able to use influence within the line organization to successfully perform many required duties.
III. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Corporate Director of ESH. This position interfaces with senior managers, plant managers, corporate staff, field personnel, vendors, safety and environmental consultants, and contract engineering and construction firms. The position has no direct reports.
