The position is based in the Company’s main corporate offices in Calabasas, CA. The Company is growing through acquisitions and increased market share and has upgraded several management positions to support the next stages in growth and profitability. It is also making a significant investment to support this growth.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of accounting experience in either public accounting (straight public or public/private is preferred) or in a corporate accounting setting with revenues of at least $300M. A CPA license or in the process is preferred. A background in a high-volume transaction setting is required. Any type of manufacturing, retail, software, or distribution company experience is desirable including multi-location company experience.
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide general ledger, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis, and leadership to the accounting organization and ensures that appropriate financial processes and systems are in place.
§ Responsible for the monthly close including developing calendars to ensure corporate deliverables are identified and achieved
§ Managing the company's financial reporting process for internal management reporting as well as compliance with various filing requirements
§ Improving the accounting and financial reporting process by evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing changes.
§ Ensuring that the balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed in a timely manner
§ Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by keeping current on changes in accounting standards (U.S. GAAP) and reporting practices
§ Researching and analyzing technical accounting issues as they develop
§ Work with business teams & Corporate functions to drive process improvements and improve financial results and consolidation efficiency
§ Coordinating and supporting financial audits.
§ Participate or lead special projects as required
§ Provide leadership and direction to staff members
§ Ability to automate, streamline and document processes
