HR Assistant Manager in Torrance, CA

Position Title:       Assistant Manager, HR and Administration

Position Type:      Direct Hire / Exempt

Location:               Torrance, CA

Salary:                   $ 60K - 65K /year

Work Hours:         M-F 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Benefit:                 Great Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, Vacation and Holiday Pay

 

Key Responsibilities

          Maintain all general affairs of the HR and Administrative department

          Maintain strong communications with other departments and employees alike

          Coordinate recruitment processes - candidate outreach, working with temp agencies, appointment setting, report preparations

          Will be involved with resume screening and phone interviewing

          Maintain confidential HR files and documentation

          Participate in bi-weekly payroll processing

          Maintain records of vacation and sick leave benefits

          Support modification/updates to the company policies and employee handbooks as needed

          Supervise HR/ Administrative Assistants

          Report departmental activities/progress/updates to Manager

Job Requirements

          Bilingual in English and Japanese

          A minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources, management experience is a plus

          Knowledge of general HR policies, labor laws and employee benefits

          Must have payroll experience

          Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

          BA Degree in related area preferred

          Must be extremely detail-oriented, organized and capable of multi-tasking

          Excellent communication skills
