Ultimate Staffing is seeking a temp-hire Fraud Research Analyst to join its client, for a contract opportunity.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to perform detailed account investigations in a fast-paced work environment within our El Segundo, CA office.

Utilizing multiple data sources, the Investigative Analyst must interpret, organize and process information to determine the validity of the information provided on the application for service.

The ideal candidate must have strong decision making skills, work well under pressure, and adhere to the expectation of performing at or above department metrics in a consistent manner week over week and month over month. The candidate must be flexible and results oriented with excellent time management skills.

NOTE: Work will occur in an office setting and travel is not required. Actual work hours (40 per week) will vary based upon business needs and may include Saturdays. At the current time (and subject to change), various shifts are possible with start time varying from 6am to 9am and end time varying from 3pm to 6pm.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Research and investigate pending applications in order to verify identity information and prevent fraudulent accounts from activating
  • Handle high inbound/outbound call volume regarding suspected fraud issues
  • Ability to clearly explain complex issues and circumstances to customers while maintaining professionalism
  • Process leads detected by the Fraud Management System (FMS) in an efficient and consistent manner utilizing various online and internal tools to ensure accurate and quality decisions are achieved
  • Maintain applicable performance metrics as applied both to the team and individual

Skills/Qualifications

 

 

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus (verbal, writing and reading)
  • Ability to take direction and work within a predefined environment/structure
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with a positive approach that demonstrates a solid understanding of the larger company picture
  • Strong work ethic/willing to work and learn
  • PC skills including Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Work independently and in a group environment
  • Ability to balance the need to handle the inbound/outbound calls while meeting production and quality goals

Experience/ Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in fraud investigations, collections, banking, customer service, analysis, or research
  • Experience working in a fast paced and metrics measured environment
