The Position: The City seeks a dynamic, respected and skilled administrator with a demonstrated track record of leading management and municipal strategies that promote growth and create distinction among communities. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker and high-energy leader with innate ability to influence decisions and gain the trust of peers, citizens, governing bodies and staff to optimize the goals of a forward-thinking municipality The City Manager will be a strong manager and collaborative as well as a team player to forge strong relationships with the community and act as a liaison between the City and its community. Candidates for this position must possess a strong background in municipal management and/or comparable/applicable private sector experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience as a City Manager in a city of comparable size and complexity or as an Assistant City Manager in a larger city is preferred. Required Qualifications: Applicant must have a Bachelors of Arts or Science in Public Administration or a related field minimum of 3 years of high level knowledge of management and budgetary experience. B.A. /B.S. Degrees along with Master's degrees can be exchanged in combination to 5-6 years of high level management in the private and/or public sector. Any combination of education and/or experience is accepted which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. Bilingual preferred.
