Job Description

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Affinity Connection, a marketing firm serving alumni and non-profit organizations, is seeking a database administrator to manage and maintain our Donor Perfect database and serve on a team charged with raising more than $14 million per year to support our client’s programs. This position requires positive engagement with our team and a passion to ensure accurate, consistent data entry and gift recording processes, information systems management, and financial reporting. The ideal individual has significant experience working with Donor Perfect and is comfortable with gift entry, reporting and donor acknowledgements; is agile in the execution of queries, exports and creation of custom reports and loves data mining. This individual would be passionate to please internal and external customers and would take ownership of this element of our data-driven company.

Responsibilities:

•Ensure accuracy, timeliness and cleanliness of data
•Ensure timely processing of all charitable gifts, including recording gifts in the database
• Provide donors with prompt acknowledgement, including pledge confirmations, reminders, gift receipts, and formal thank-you letters
•Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for staff and clients
•Track and manage data related to fundraising initiatives
•Use Donor Perfect to generate mailing lists for direct marketing communications, such as personalized letters, donor acknowledgement letters and emails
•Assist in data retrievals for staff as needed
Qualifications:
•Extremely well-organized, detail-oriented individual who has a high energy level with an accompanying sense of urgency
•Industrious, independent-minded and determined, with a drive to achieve results
•Competent in balancing competing priorities
•Strong analytical skills
•Proven competence with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Access and Crystal Reports
•Ability to work independently with little supervision
•Values networking and actively forges positive relationships both interdepartmentally and with clients
•Understands and appreciates the importance of tact, discretion, and confidentiality
•High comfort level with training other staff members to use Donor Perfect
