ATS provides academically challenging, fast-paced course work to highly able and motivated fourth through ninth grade students in the greater Sacramento area. ATS has been serving the needs of the Capital region’s young scholars since 1982 and has provided instruction to more than 40,500 academically talented elementary and middle school students.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position that is covered under the Public Employees’ Retirement System. Continued employment in this position is dependent upon the mutual consent of the University Enterprises and the employee, and either the University Enterprises or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
RATE OF PAY: $2,436 - $3,410 per month

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is the first point of contact for the ATS program and assists the ATS Directors and Coordinators. The incumbent performs a full range of reception and administrative support and coordinates ATS projects. The incumbent will work in a periodically hectic office, with numerous in-person and telephone interruptions and with frequent deadline pressure. This position receives general supervision from the Director. The position receives daily work direction from the Program Coordinators. A few of the duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Has primary responsibility, with other ATS Program Assistant II’s, for answering all telephone calls to the main office line as well as any line that may need answering in the office when not assisting another customer. Answers routine and some non-routine inquiries; evaluates non-routine calls to determine the appropriate individual/office to assist the caller; routes the request. Retrieves telephone messages from office voice mail, prepares requested items for mailing. Distributes incoming mail to the appropriate person/department.
Greets and assists all visitors. Dispenses information regarding the ATS program and its policies and procedures.
Directly assists and provides general administrative support to the Directors and senior staff on a variety of projects.
Provides general office support by performing clerical functions such as typing, labeling, filing, word processing, data entry, duplicating, mailing, and related tasks to facilitate the efficient operation of the ATS program.For a complete listing of duties and minimum qualifications, please see the full job posting at. www.ueijobs.com
