Technician/Operator Location: Middletown, CA Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, calibrates, tests and installs various electrical equipment, communication and control system hardware, software and equipment in geothermal power generating stations and facilities. Systems include: generators, motors, breakers, transformers, transmitters, protective relays, telemetry, two-way radio, fiber optics, SCADA and DCS, RTU's, Serial Comms (RS-232/R-485), PLC's (transfer trip and power line carrier), routable networks security, physical security (alarms and video surveillance), AC/DC, instrumentation, DC poer and PV systems. Requires knowledge of electronics and instrumentation theory, DC/AC theory, networking and security principles; Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent course work in electronics and data communications, high school degree/GED, unrestriced CA driver's license and clean driving record. Ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience maintaining, installing and repairing electronic control systems and data communications equipment in a power plant.
