Infant & First Steps Lead Teacher

Job Description

The Goddard School located at the Wilmington Riverfront is searching for energetic and devoted Lead Teachers in our infant and first steps program to round out our already amazing faculty.  Our Infant & First Step Teachers must have a commitment to the care and education of our little ones, while maintaining high standards in health and safety. Teachers design lesson plans to encourage each child’s eager investigation of the world by providing days filled with a balance of quiet activities, spirited music and movement, and plenty of FUN to encourage each child's love of learning.

Our Lead Teachers have four year degrees in ECE or other Education related field and 1-2 years of experience.

All of our staff members possess a nurturing teaching style, are team players, and have a commitment to professional development in the ever changing field of Early Childhood Education.

Job Requirements

 Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
 
• Bachelors
degree in ECE or education related field
• At least 2 years of experience with children ages 3-6 years
• Ability to multi-task
• First Aid/CPR certified (or ability to be certified within 30 days)

Job requirements include but not limited to:
• Maintain 18 hours of OCCL training
• Attend staff meetings or other events as required
• Plan and implement lesson plans for all children in the classroom
Complete daily attendance records
• Maintain a developmentally appropriate environment
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Document developmental progress for each child
• Maintain accurate classroom records
