Administrative Manager

Job Description


Investment firm located in the loop seeks an Administrative Manager to join their Chicago office. The Administrative Manager will be responsible for managing a department of approximately 15-25 administrative support staff, including Executive Assistants, Senior Administrative Assistants, Administrative Assistants and Reception desks. The ideal Administrative Manager will have at least 5 years of administrative experience and at least 2 years of managerial experience and a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Manager:

  • Oversee centralized operations.
  • Ensure the scheduling of sufficient and appropriate staff to cover current and future workload
  • Lead team in the delivery of exceptional administrative services by setting standards for service level and quality of work
  • Manage and control departmental expense process
  • Focus on training and performance for administrative staff
  • Answer directives from directors of administration
  • Facilitate roll-out and training of new initiatives in cooperation with Office Managers at the direction of the VP Administration, with a focus on consistent and timely communication across the Administration and Operations teams

Job Requirements


Requirements of the Administrative Manager:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an administrative role and  2 years of previous managerial experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A resilient self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Professional communication skills both verbal and written
