Administrative Assistant

Job Description

A private equity firm located in Downtown Chicago seeks an Administrative Assistant to join their team! The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the controller as well as other IT groups. The Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for some travel coordination and expense processing. 

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant

  • Provide high level of administrative support to controllers and IT groups
  • Schedule meetings and resolve calendar conflicts for those supported
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, letters and financial reports
  • Coordinate some travel and expense processing
  • Create and maintain all electronic and hard-copy correspondence as requested by those supported
  • Receive and process incoming mail
  • Assist in accounting functions with Accounts Payable, as assigned

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Administrative Assistant

  • 3+ years of experience in an office environment
  • 2 or 4 year degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, and prioritize
