II.           POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for assuring that Physician Ambulatory Surgery Center Health Care System adheres to all regulatory required and PASC Health required OPPE/FPPE data collection.   This position is responsible for assuring the availability of meaningful and accurate data to serve as the foundation for evidence-based physician performance data.

    QUALIFICATIONS:A.    EDUCATION:1.     Bachelor’s degree is required with focus on statistical analysis/information systems or related field. B.    EXPERIENCE:1.     A minimum of three (3) years of hospital or health care quality experience required.2.     A minimum of one (1) year of Performance Improvement and statistical data analysis of health care data required. C.    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:1.     Certified Professional in Health Care Quality within two (2) years of employment. D.    EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:1.     Requires ability to set up and utilize audio/visual and office equipment.2.     Requires organizational skills with attention to detail, computer literacy in a windows environment, and initiative in performance improvement opportunities.3.     Requires expert level skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Access and Power Point.4.     Requires advanced skills in statistical analysis, graphing, and trending of data.5.     Requires knowledge of information systems and report writing.6.     Requires ability to communicate with medical and administrative personnel; including verbal and written communication skills.7.     Requires knowledge of and ability to meet The Joint Commission standards related to Performance Improvement and Patient Safety. E.     WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1.     Normal office conditions in a temperature controlled environment.2.     Frequent use of computer monitor screens.3.     Retrieval of medical records from shelves.4.     Ability to walk and sit for long periods.5.     Lifts up to 10 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects.6.     Ability to climb, bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach.7.     Position requires ability to concentrate on detail with constant interruption.8.     Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.9.     Ability to manage stress appropriately10.  Must also successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening examination, and the annual screening each year thereafter as an employee.
