Roles and Responsibilities: Successful candidate for the Proposal Specialist position will work collaboratively with technical lead to prepare winning construction services literature, proposals, presentations, and award submissions. Specifically, this person will act as project manager of production efforts, including: facilitate kick off meeting to define expectations, identify tasks and assign responsibilities, and develop production schedule; assist technical capture manager in developing win themes; draft/edit text; schedule reviews. Additional duties will include participating in business development meetings, supporting development of content for proposals, and creating marketing collateral. This position supports the construction services team, and requires strong communication and coordination with business development and technical staff. Previous experience in the planning, preparation, and production of architectural and engineering proposals and qualification packages for government and private architecture and engineering clients is a must. Strong project management and communication skills are critical, as is the ability to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and meet competing deadlines. The individual filling this position should be familiar with the AE industry and government Standard Forms 330, 254, and 255 as well as familiarity with regional and local proposal submission requirements and procedures. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, organization skills, conceptual thinking skills, effective decision-making, document organization, and writing and editing skills. Experience in the construction services industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with proposal database software is preferred, but not required. This position is part of the Proposal Production Center, reports directly to the Great Lakes/Northeast region proposal manager, and is a full time, salaried, exempt position.
