Job Description

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER for General Contractor, commercial, institutional and multi-family residential projects.  Min. 10-years’ experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.  Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science preferred.  Computer proficiency required.  Strong written and oral communication skills necessary.  Primary geographical work areas in New Jersey and New York (occasionally NYC). Job Requirements

  • Estimating and bid solicitation.

  • Managing medium to large commercial, industrial or multi-family construction projects, from inception to completion (renovations, new builds and design-builds).

  • Business development: maintaining positive Client relationships and developing new clients for future business growth.

  • Developing project-specific proposals as required in response to Client/Consultant Requests for Proposals.

  • Perform the procurement process based on plan specifications or design-build proposals.

  • Developing and monitoring budgets and related documents (purchase orders, change orders, invoices, progress draws, etc.).

  • Reviewing construction contracts.

  • Preparing construction plans and schedules; organizing the labor force.

  • Communicating and approving shop drawings.

  • Identifying potential design and construction problems; problem solving on the job site.

  • Chairing site meetings and participating in Client or Subcontractor meetings.

  • Overseeing preparation of project close-out manuals.

  • Ensuring Company safety policies.

  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Graduate of a relevant college degree (Architectural Construction, Construction Engineering Technology, etc.).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

  • Ability to read blueprints and construction specifications.

  • Leed, Autocad experience or basic knowledge a plus.

  • General knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as completion of relevant construction safety courses.

  • Valid driver’s license.
