NVH Engineer

Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate NVH testing and CAE analysis of various company products to ensure proper NVH robustness and integration into customer vehicles is achieved.  
  • Provide written and verbal 
  • Plan, initiate and track NVH activities related to driveline component design and validation
  • Coordinate activities with customer for both NVH validation and company product integration into target vehicles
  • Analyze and interpret NVH test data, making appropriate design recommendations based on the results
  • Develop NVH targets that satisfy both customer & internal needs.  Roll-down assessment of vehicle-level targets to system and component-level targets
  • Communicate NVH status and testing results to customer and internal departments via both written reports and oral presentations
  • Provide technical direction to test technicians, manufacturing and process engineers
  • Properly instrument test vehicles, collect and report out NVH objective data.  Provide corresponding subjective ratings based on customer grading scale 
  • Local, Country and International Travel – Up to 20% of time
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor of Science - Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in NVH engineering activities and/or 3 years of driveline product engineering experience
  • Knowledge of driveline system functionality and NVH testing methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Project management skills – ability to manage/prioritize multiple programs/tasks
  • Experience with NVH data acquisition/analysis software preferred (i.e. LMS Test Lab, B&K Pulse, Ideas, AB Plato, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of hypoid/helical gears, driveline dynamics, acoustics, vibration, digital signal processing (DSP), FEA
