This position may report out of either our:

  • Kansas Regional Office, located in Topeka, Kansas.
  • Healthcare Support Team, located in St. Louis, Missouri
  • Healthcare Support Team, located in Brentwood, Nashville
  • Remote candidates may be considered.


Job Summary of the Corizon Health NextGen Integration Developer

The NextGen Integration Analyst will develop, implement, maintain and support robust, secure, scalable, high availability and high performance NextGen clinical application solutions. Applies expert clinical systems knowledge to the analysis, design, development, integration, configuration, implementation and support of NextGen EMR clinical application. Maintains strong cross functional relationships to efficiently resolve clinical system issues and questions.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health NextGen Integration Developer

  • Apply strong clinical application knowledge and IT technical skills to the analysis, design, development, integration, configuration, implementation, maintenance and support of NextGen EMR and other clinical applications.
  • Performs design, development, integration, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub systems.
  • Identifies and resolves clinical system issues by leveraging expert knowledge of NextGen and other team members.
  • Perform clinical systems template development, template changes and template bug fixes.
  • Manage the communications, expectations and deliverables between Corizon support, and any third party NextGen support on Corizon’s behalf.
  • Recommends and implements solutions to complex problems considering systems capacity and limitations.
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts to remain informed on current technology.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, clients, vendors, and internal staff for efficient maintenance, enhancements and support of clinical systems and for resolution of any integration issues.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform system improvements and upgrades.
  • Mentor less experienced programmer/analysts particularly in the process and data models associated with clinical systems.
  • Assist in completion of special projects on an as needed basis within the IT Department.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health NextGen Integration Developer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Five (5) years progressive experience with NextGen EHR development, maintenance and analysis. Strong Clinical System experience desired, NCPDP, HIPAA and HL7 standards a plus.  Consultant level ability to communicate and manage issues.  Experience with NextGen in a correctional setting for this role is desired.
  • NextGen EPM and EHR NCP required. Experience with NextGen tools such as Template Editor, System Administrator Module and File Maintenance. Extensive knowledge of reporting package Crystal Reports, and Microsoft SQL.
