Job Description

FastTrack Staffing Inc. is currently seeking experienced Warehouse Workers for a client in the Tavares area. This position reports top the Warehouse Manager and is a general labor position.  Ideal candidates will be punctual and attentive to detail.  Workers must be able to take direction, follow procedures, work with energy and enthusiasm.

Duties & Responsibilities

Administrative & general duties

Assembles installation orders from stock

Assists with inventory and cycle counts

Assists with periodic shelf and rack organization

Breaks down used boxes

Labels items

Reports to warehouse supervisor to receive day's assignments

equipment, warehouse, & site maintenance

Checks identification of materials to be moved, cross-references with shipping and installation schedule, and moves to required location 

Cleans up customers’ sites following installations

Drives vehicles (ex: forklift

Gathers waste and trash items throughout the warehouse and disposes of them

Installs decorations according to Clark Display approved Standard Operating Procedures

Keeps tally or count of decorations and other products moved and reports to warehouse manager

Maintains cleanliness and order within warehouse & grounds

Maintains tools and maintenance equipment in working order and keeps maintenance room in neat condition

Notifies warehouse manager of mechanical or electrical problems

Operates forklift (certification required)

Operates pallet jack

Performs light maintenance within warehouse, including

  • Changes warehouse light bulbs, may replace fixtures, and does similar minor electrical tasks
  • Light plumbing, including fixing drains and leaks
  • Mowing, weeding, and yard work
  • Painting
  • Simple carpentry tasks, such as installing shelves
  • Removes trash
  • Recommends equipment requirements and replacements
  • Materials
  • Checks identification of materials to be moved, cross-references with shipping and installation schedule, and moves to required location
  • Checks with crew supervisor to ensure that installation is correct
  • Cleans and repairs decorations [ex: changes light bulbs]
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving area to designated area
  • Informs purchasing of low or out of stock items
  • Keeps the floors swept and clear from debris
  • Marks materials with identifying information
  • Organizes shelves
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks and shelves according to predetermined sequence

  • Handles and stacks supplies delivered
  • Loads and unloads trucks
  • Loads decorations and equipment on to trucks in predetermined order
  • Opens crates and containers, remove strapping and wrapping and disposes of safely in designated containers or areas
  • Packs trucks and boxes
  • Places orders on pallets or shelves
  • Places protective materials around load and uses hand or strapping equipment to secure loads for shipment

  • Checks all trucks prior to trips to ensure proper loading techniques
  • Checks all trucks to ensure that correct decorations and installation tools are loaded
  • Ensures that all tools and equipment are loaded into Clark trucks following installation
  • Establishes seasonal operations procedures to increase productivity and profitability
  • Maintains travel records
  • Monitors progress of installations
  • Oversees loading of trucks
  • Oversees pulling of merchandise according to customers’ orders
  • Supervises multiple crews and shifts
  • Troubleshoots customer installations
  • Uses Clark Standard Operating Procedures to train and provide crews with directions

  • Ensures that all tools and equipment are loaded into Clark trucks following installation
  • Follows seasonal operations procedures to increase productivity and profitability

  • Works according to installation schedule, often includes weekends and overtime
