Job Description

Job Summary


We're looking for an Application Services Analyst to support customers, internal staff, and partners both during their implementation and post-implementation experience.  The purpose of this role is to support the transition for the customer and OneStream administrators from project implementation to post go-live from a functional perspective.  In addition, the role is to provide support for our partners as well as provide support internally.  Job duties include augmenting the OneStream administrator experience post go-live, partner support, internal support, build and provide custom solution based support, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and data integration. 


This position is based in the OneStream headquarters building in Rochester, Michigan.  The expectation is that the Application Services Analyst will be in the office on a daily basis to regularly interface with the team with some flexibility to work from home. 


good bed-side manner is imperative.  You need to think fast on your toes and take ownership of this role.  A successful candidate is someone who is entrepreneurial and can run with a project.  Occasional travel may be required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  1. Troubleshooting data discrepancies and analysis of consolidated data. 

  2. Provide the customer with post project go live support.  Tasks include but not limited to: Troubleshooting customer issues, building reports, building security models, building custom dashboards, build custom event processes, and help assist during customer transition. 

  3. Handle several implementation projects at any given time.

  4. Gather business requirements as necessary in regards to application support requests. Work with application services team to apply knowledge of OneStream product and features to support the customer's business.

  5. Create research documentation to develop best practices.   

  6. Report enhancement requests and bugs on behalf of the customer.

  7. Act as a resource to assist the Services Team in the implementation process as they go through the implementation process.

  8. Track tasks accomplished, time spent, and milestones completed using OneStream tools. 

  9. Effectively communicate throughout the lifecycle of an open ticket/issue with customer.

  10. Develop and conduct custom training based off customer specific requirements.  Be able to train during workshops at conferences. 


Formal Education and Certification


  • Four-year college degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or CIS, or equivalent work experience


Knowledge and Experience


  • 5+ years of full time accounting/finance experience (or equivalent)

  • Understanding, analyzing, and articulating common business processes and decisions to develop easy-to-use customer solutions

  • Financial Skills (in-depth understanding of financial concepts, intercompany eliminations, General Ledgers, debits, credits, etc.)

  • Ability to troubleshoot with little supervision

  • Experience with dimensionality models

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner

  • Ability to effectively operate independently or in a team environment

  • Outstanding MS Office skills, specifically with Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Optimal


  • Master degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology

  • Two or more years' experience consulting for software implementations

  • Experience with Metadata design, data integration, dashboards, graphs, and report writing

  • Experience with VB.net or Visual Basic. Any object-oriented programing a plus.

  • A professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CMA, CGA, CA), advanced degrees (MBA, MFA), and/or other professional designations or certifications (applicable to accounting/finance and information technology)

  • Prior experience with any of the following products is a plus:
    • OneStream XF

    • SAP Outlooksoft BPC

    • SAP BOFC (Cartesis)

    • HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)

    • FDM (Financial Data Quality Management) or UpStream

    • Hyperion Planning

    • Hyperion Essbase

    • IBM Cognos

    • Or other EPM solutions.
