CDS Support Representative

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound phone calls from carriers / drivers / shippers that have a need for information related to their order. This may include providing information such as addresses or directions to a given location.
  • Utilize Brokerage TMS systems to address issues and document interaction with client / vendor.
  • Deal directly with carriers for tracking and tracing (via on-line tracking tools or through telephone contact).
  • Follow specific escalation process in the event of major service failure / issue.
  • Respond promptly to carrier needs.
  • Provide the Sales/Carrier reps with real time information where required.
  • Accurate and timely entry into operation system of loads status
  • Other operational duties as they relate to the assistance of the CDS staff

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Listening skills.
  • Customer-focused team player.
  • Time management skills.
  • Computer knowledge of Internet email and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy.
